After the release of Resident Evil 3, rumors were going around the internet that there is going to be a tv show for Resident Evil which will be available on Netflix but nothing was officially confirmed. As time passed the rumors grew even stronger and now the rumor was true after all because it was been confirmed by Capcom that Resident Evil will be getting a TV show adaptation. This TV show will be releasing in 2021 and it is will be a Netflix original series. Furthermore, there was a trailer unveiled for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness which was released recently. In the trailer, we can see two faces who are Leon and Claire both of which are fan-favorite characters. In this, we can see Claire in her iconic red jacket and Leon sitting in the front while the darkness approaches them. We can see her walk in a dark building and on the other hand, we see Leon confront a character which is also an iconic character from the gaming franchise. Netflix talked about Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness that the show is scheduled to release globally in 2021 on Netflix. They further added that the technology has evolved significantly since the time of 2017’s CG film Resident Evil: Vendetta. The first installment of the game was released back in 1996 on Sony PlayStation and now the series is nearing its 25th anniversary.
The project will be created by TMS Entertainment under Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi. Kei Miyamoto at Quebico will help oversee the show’s 3DCG animation and as for the story, in which we will be following the story of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield as they explore a world that the world unlike anything seen before. During the panel, there were many other things revealed about the upcoming Resident Evil VILLAGE. The game might be coming to PlayStation 4 And Xbox One but the developers said that they can’t make any promises. The release of the upcoming consoles is drawing near and it will be interesting to see how bigger of a game the next Resident Evil game will be.
